Getting There — Two Routes

Ain Fort is located on a hill near the village of Ain, Sudhnothi District, AJK. There are two ways to reach the site. Both must be arranged in advance through the local guide or boat operator.
The most dramatic approach to Ain Fort is by river. A local boat operator takes visitors along the Jhelum River through the ancient gorge — the same route travellers and merchants used for centuries. The boat departs from a designated launch point (directions provided upon booking). This route offers unparalleled views of the gorge and the fort's hilltop silhouette. The journey is an experience in itself.
Contact the boat operator to arrange your journey BEFORE visiting: [BOAT OPERATOR: +92-XXX-XXXXXXX]
Route: [Launch point to be confirmed — insert GPS coordinates or landmark description]
Journey time: [To be confirmed by operator]
Suitable for: All visitors. Life jackets provided.
An alternative overland approach is possible via a jeep track through the surrounding hills. This route is rougher and may be impassable during the monsoon season (July–September). A 4-wheel-drive vehicle is strongly recommended. The local guide can advise on current road conditions at the time of your visit.
